Gaming Floor and Machine Selection
Our casino at 421 12 Ave SE hosts more than 370 slots across penny, nickel, quarter, dollar, and five-dollar denominations. The entire gaming floor is non-smoking, with ticket redemption kiosks placed around the room so smaller wins can be cashed out quickly. For larger payout tickets, guests head to the cashier windows where our team scans the barcode and completes the payment.
Multi-progressive links such as Jackpot Junction, Alberta Gold, and American Original connect several machines across the floor. Overhead display screens show live jackpot totals, so you can see how high things have climbed before you sit down. In the table games area, we operate 34 tables with dealers rotating throughout our 10:00 AM to 5:00 AM schedule. Table limits move up or down depending on how busy we are - during Calgary Stampede, minimums usually run higher because of the surge in visitors.
Poker Room Operations
Our poker room runs on its own schedule, open 24 hours a day and separate from main floor hours. Cash games are the core of the action, with blind levels ranging from beginner-friendly to higher-limit tables, based on daily demand. The room is usually at its busiest from about 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, so seat availability can change quickly during that window.
Weekly tournaments rotate through formats like freezeout, rebuy, and bounty events. Players register at the poker desk, where our staff review buy-in amounts, starting stacks, and blind increments. Floor supervisors coordinate seating, handle waiting lists, and share updates on in-room display boards so players know what is happening. The poker room also has its own cashier services - you exchange cash for chips at the dedicated cage and cash out at that same window when you finish. Keeping poker transactions separate from the main cage helps traffic move smoother in busy times.
Dining and Bar Services
Inside the property we operate two full-service restaurants, each with its own style, menu and seating layout. Our main dining room offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in line with casino hours, plus a late-night menu that runs until around 3:00 AM. Reservations are optional, but for groups of more than six people we recommend calling 403-514-0900 to set something up.
Centre Bar is positioned in the middle of the gaming floor, so guests can order drinks and light snacks without leaving their machines or tables. Servers move through both slot and table sections delivering food and beverages directly to active players, which helps keep your game going with fewer breaks. Menu prices are in line with typical Calgary rates. Wherever we can, we use local Alberta ingredients and shift seasonal items to follow agricultural supply. If you have dietary needs, let the serving staff know - we usually can accommodate, and a bit of advance notice gives the kitchen more room to prepare.
Cowboys Dance Hall and Event Programming
Cowboys Dance Hall is attached to our complex and shares the same address and parking as the casino. It operates as an integrated nightclub, but admission to the dance hall is separate from casino entry. The venue positions itself as one of the largest country and top 40 nightclubs in the world, hosting weekly events. Doors typically open around 7:00 PM and, on busy nights, programming can continue past the closing time of some casino areas, with access managed through its own entrance.
Live music in the dance hall blends local Calgary acts with touring performers. Schedules are posted on cowboysnightclub.com and across our regular marketing channels. Event formats range from themed dance nights and club shows to larger concert-style performances and private rentals. Internal corridors connect the dance hall and casino areas, so guests can move between gaming and nightlife without going outside. Parking validation in our heated underground facility applies whether you are visiting the casino, the dance hall, or both on the same trip.
Location and Transportation Access
We are located in Calgary’s Entertainment District, a short walk from Stampede Park, the BMO Centre, and the Scotiabank Saddledome. This cluster of venues creates strong traffic during big events, especially during the Calgary Stampede when the area draws large numbers of visitors. Concerts, sports games, and conventions at nearby venues all contribute to the flow of guests through our doors.
Victoria Park C-Train station is roughly 400 meters from the front entrance. Guests can get off at Victoria Park, follow the pedestrian paths toward 12 Ave SE, and reach the casino in under five minutes on foot. Beltline-area bus routes provide extra connections for visitors who do not have direct C-Train service.
Free heated underground parking helps manage harsh Alberta winters and weather swings. The parkade entrance on 12 Ave SE is designed for standard vehicles, with accessible spaces placed near elevator banks for easier movement into the building. Capacity is built to support the casino, restaurants, and Cowboys Dance Hall at the same time, though spots can tighten up during Stampede and major events at the Saddledome.
